Those who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine in Chicot County will now have an opportunity to do so in only one dose.

The Chicot County Department of Health will host a mass COVID-19 clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 8 at Days Inn, 912 Highway 65/82 in Lake Village.

The clinic will offer the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, which only requires one dose.

The doses will be available to anyone 18 or older on a first-come, first served basis, and will be provided without out-of-pocket expense for the recipient.

Those who have insurance cards should bring them to the unit.

“The three authorized COVID-19 vaccines have each undergone rigorous reviews that have proven them to be both safe and effective,” a health department spokesperson said.
