Chicot County 4-H held a “Trash Pick-Up” Day April 22 as its monthly community service activity. Youth were split up into two teams with Team 1 picking up 25 pounds of trash and Team 2 picking up 34 pounds of trash. Each team received a trophy that will stay at the Chicot County Extension Office and each child received a goody bag for their hard work! Sponsors voiced their appreciation to those who made the day happen, especially volunteers, agents, Mike Morgan, County Judge Mack Ball, Brad Whittle, Sammy Angel, and Hancock Trophy. 4-H is for all ages 5-19. Those who know of a child or volunteer that would like to join may have them sign up on or call the Chicot County Extension Office at (870)-265-8055 for more information.
